Today, as in the past, porcelain from the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten, is always marked with the Augarten shield.

It can be found on the underside of the piece and is stamped in cobalt underneath the glaze.

The shield is the coat of arms of the Babenberg family, and has been the trademark of the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory since 1744.

The shape number, pattern number and artist number are also painted on the glaze on the underside of the porcelain.
