Claudia Stuhlhofer-Mayr

Born in 1966, Ms. Stuhlhofer-Mayr has been Art Director of the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten since 2004.

In her, Augarten has gained an internationally successful designer who has been the only Austrian in the art team of Hermès Paris for twelve years and has designed some of its world-famous silk scarves and jewellery collections.

The aim of her design work is to combine the traditional with the modern – a similar aim to that of the porcelain designers in the Vienna Workshops of the 1920s. Thanks to their visionary work, the creations of that decade are still Augarten bestsellers. With her latest collections, Ms. Stuhlhofer-Mayr has succeeded in taking centuries of expertise in porcelain and turning it into modern design.

Using top-quality materials and reflecting the long tradition of the company are vital priorities in her work. The results of her efforts are products of astounding quality with design and colour that are guaranteed to impress.

As well as producing designs for the Manufactory, Claudia Stuhlhofer-Mayr is also committed to ensuring that customer’s wishes are met in every detail. She studies the specifics of each idea closely and then draws on her in-depth expertise to bring it to life in a wonderfully aesthetic manner.
